Added

  • The Logistics tab is the family's travel dashboard for the weekend: what is happening now and next with a countdown and directions, one lane per travelling party showing who is here when, the schedule, where the service, the house and the boat are, what to wear, and a place to add or correct your own plans. For signed-in family only.
  • Keepsake photographs the family sends in can be added to the library by the administrator once, without copying.
  • Admin has a People view: one list of everyone with access to the Family Room — who is pre-approved, who has signed in and how, who has asked to come in, and when they last visited — with search, add and revoke. Someone the administrator has already added goes straight to a sign-in code (or Google) and is told they are already on Jean's list; they never meet the request form.
  • In Library review, the administrator can now remove a photograph for good — only one that has already been set aside, and only after a confirmation that says how many, which collections they come from, anything the family wrote about them, and which saved slideshows lose a slot. Setting a photograph aside remains what happens to the family's photographs, and remains undoable.

Changed

  • One photo library behind the Family Room: the archive is now the single home for every photograph, and the Projector reads from it. Setting a photograph aside in the library takes it out of the Projector too, and releasing it in the Projector releases it everywhere. Every saved slideshow and CJ's show play exactly as before.

  • The account menu in the header shows your name and access level, and lets you ask Lou for a different access level in two taps.
  • A slideshow's Full screen control fills the screen on phones that do not support true full screen, instead of showing a message.

Changed

  • The Family Room is one place now: a lighthouse header with tabs — Home, Archive, Projector, Logistics and, for Jean's children and the administrator, Admin — on every view. Signing in opens the Home tab; every slideshow link the family already has keeps working.
  • The Projector lives inside the Family Room as a tab. It opens straight on the slideshows (CJ's show first), has no separate welcome page or second row of buttons, and its help is a small "?" dialog.
  • Home is short: a welcome, the keepsake box for adding a photograph or a memory, and a few cards into the other tabs. The Gathering has its own Logistics tab; "About this site" and "Share" wait behind footer links.
  • Every administrative control — invitations and access requests, library review, keepsakes, feedback — sits in the Admin tab, out of the Projector.

Added

  • Event invitations can welcome a new guest straight into the Family Room after they enter their name and email. Invitations can stay open until the family withdraws them, and people without an invitation can ask privately for access.
  • Jean's children can add several photographs together for private review. Feedback can include a screenshot, with a clear receipt after it arrives.
  • The family's administrator can review photographs in a compact grid, keep or set aside a selection together, and open invitations and access requests directly from the Projector.

Changed

  • Personal slideshows can be removed when they are no longer wanted. The celebration's original show stays protected, and video export is clearly marked as coming later.

Fixed

  • Existing family accounts still require proof through their own email when someone follows an invitation. Screenshot drafts stay with the person who attached them.

  • The Projector: a private corner of the Family Room where invited family can sit with the photographs chosen for the celebration, gather their favorites into slideshows of their own with a piece of music if they like, share those slideshows with one another, and send along a thought or flag anything that needs fixing. Family come in through a code sent to their own email, with no passwords and no accounts. For the family's administrator there are quiet tools for tending the photographs: adding more, holding a picture back or letting it through, hiding one, making a copy, straightening or trimming it, and writing captions.

Changed

  • The larger box of gathered photographs now rests out of sight while the family looks through the ones chosen for the celebration, so the room stays calm and easy to move through.

  • The Archive fills: 1,592 photographs and recordings of Jean, gathered from every shoebox and hard drive the family had and kept once each, now sit in the Family Room by decade and collection, with their originals safe in two more places.

  • In comment mode, Lou can edit a drafted reply before sending it, and the panel quotes the part of the page you tapped with its words properly spaced.

  • The Family Room grows into the family's archive: every photograph and recording of Jean the family has gathered, browsable by decade, collection and the people in them, with hearts, comments, downloads and a way to add photographs from your phone. A light family board keeps score of who brought what.
  • Invite links, so Jean's children can bring friends and family into the room with the same simple email-code door.
  • A comment mode for Jean's children: tap any part of the room and leave a thought exactly there; Lou answers in place.
  • "A Century of Jean", the family's chronology of her life, returns inside the room for Jean's children.

  • An "Add to calendar" link beside Directions on the Celebration of Life card. One tap puts Saturday, September 19 into your phone's calendar with the place and the morning's timing, in Florida time.
  • For the family's administrator: the RSVP list can be downloaded as a spreadsheet from the Family Room's admin corner.

  • The earlier contribute page that required signing in with Google, unused since Contribute a Memory replaced it in August.

  • Quiet strengthening of the Family Room's front door, ahead of opening it to the wider family. Signing in is unchanged for anyone who belongs here; the door is simply harder to knock on repeatedly, and it no longer says anything different depending on whose address was typed. The "About this site" note now also mentions that sign-in attempts are kept briefly, so the page describes everything the room actually remembers.

  • Anyone can now share a memory without signing in: photographs, a video, an audio recording, written words, or a link, with voice and video recordable right on the page.
  • A personal “Your contributions” list shows each visitor what they have shared, with honest per-item status while items store privately for family review.
  • Visitors can RSVP for the Celebration of Life with their name, email, and headcount; sending again with the same email updates the earlier reply.
  • The Celebration of Life details — date, time, venue, address, directions, and a light itinerary — now appear directly on the memorial page.
  • A visible footer Feedback link opens the same private request composer without requiring a text selection.
  • The memorial is easier to find in search: the page title now names the obituary and Celebration of Life, and the site publishes a sitemap and structured information about Jean for search engines.

  • The memorial is now a single composed page: Jean’s portrait carries her name and the event details, with her life story beneath under the heading “Her Life.”
  • Jean’s bridge-playing portrait is now the primary hero.
  • At the family’s request, the “Mommy Grande Dame ’76” portrait moved from its featured position to the final place in the photograph wall, and shared-link previews now show the hero portrait instead.
  • The website obituary includes six family-approved copy, punctuation, event-detail, and donation-link presentation corrections; the separate Share a Memory callout remains outside the obituary.

  • The photograph wall is resting for now; the approved photographs remain safely with the family for a later, richer remembrance.
  • The Google sign-in requirement for sharing a memory is gone.

Fixed

  • Desktop obituary selections now keep one stable feedback action and open the composer fully inside the viewport.
  • Photograph captions no longer repeat the year when the family’s caption already names it.
